Does what it says September 10, 2010 P. GIBSON (USA) I tended to shy away from products like these because I'd heard so many negative comments about other FM transmission products but this simply works. Sure, sometimes areas with lots of power lines give it static but I've only found a few. This device is like a new car stereo on the cheap. I have a 16 GB SD card with 1800 songs loaded. The shuffle sometimes begins to repeat but I can turn of repeat and turn it back on and have it shuffle pretty well again. With how tentative I was about the product, I must say, I'm very impressed. It's not perfect but, for the price, It's great.
Many use options September 9, 2010 A. P. Herron I bought this for listening to music I have on a couple of MP3 players. I found it is much easier to load the music to a SD memory card (what other reviewers say about a main MP3 folder is true, but you can have multiple sub-folders if you want to organize). The set up was relatively easy and the sound has been great. I also like to listen to audio books. My cigarette lighter port is in the console between the front seats so it is easy to use the enclosed cord to plug in my Kindle. Having an Audible account makes it convenient to move my audio books to my Kindle and listen to them while at home from the Kindle directly or plugging them into this device in the car. Since libraries now have electronic devices with audio books that they lend with wired headsets I'm thinking I could plug those into this device as well. I have had this for a couple of months now and it has given me some options I didn't have before.
I agree with most reviewers -- great product! September 9, 2010 D. W. Moore (Portland, OR USA) Thanks to other reviewers for providing useful, trustworthy reviews. I'm very happy with this product. It probably works best where there are free spots on the FM dial, but even in Portland, Oregon, where the spectrum is filled with radio stations, it works well enough. I especially like being able to play from an SD card. The manufacturer sent me an email asking if I was satisfied. Nice touch!
Great product at reasonable price September 5, 2010 durans Bought this product based on reviews. Worked as expected. MP3s play wonderfully. I'm really enjoying listening to my home radio station again. I moved from Portland, Oregon to Dallas, TX 3 years ago and miss KINK.FM. I am able to stream their online listening channel on my Android using streamfusion app. It plays fabulously in my car! This product keeps me connected with my "home". I'm happy once again.
WARNING: Bookmark Firmware Bug......... September 5, 2010 Victor Nowik I got this unit exclusively to listen to audio books. It would be perfect except for the flaky behavior with bookmarks. There is a known firmware bug which prevents bookmarks from working if a bookmark is attempted past the first 15 minutes of a file. The net result is that sometimes bookmarks work and other times they do not. Avoid this unit unless you can get one with fixed firmware. How can you be sure you have a fixed unit? Beats me. I have an email in to SATECHI. Lets see how their customer service is. I can still return to Amazon...but I would prefer a working unit as the soundfly is exactly what I am looking for if only it would work as advertised.
