Excellent basic guide December 8, 2009 T. Marshall (Pittsburgh) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having built a couple of nonfunctioning electronic circuits, it occurred to me that there was something I wasn't getting about these things, and that learning how to properly read schematics might be a way of getting it. Turns out this book is the only way I've found of developing an understanding of grounding. I discovered I was also putting diodes in the wrong way. Oh well; better late than never. This book explains nearly everything, clearly. I now consider it essential for those learning to build or understand electronic circuits, at least those who share my misconceptions.
Don't Pass This Up February 20, 2006 Ashley Davis (phoenix, az) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This book is an awesome reference for the beginner and experienced technician. It could also be used as an intro to basic electronics because it contains clear explainations of the functions of each component in a circuit. The best part is the hundreds of diagrams included. The author will describe a component then refer to a perfectly drawn diagram to illustrate the lesson. Excellent refresher or reference for anyone interested in electronics.
